Busy Week

I have been a little slow updating the blog but dang I never knew that I would be so busy, I guess that in order to get some rest I need to go back to work, hmmm uh NO.  In the time that I posted last we have been shopping in Corpus Christi twice, Linda got a new blanket with all the pillows and such for the bed, we packed some more stuff and sent it back to Tennessee, I installed a TV in the basement of the RV so that we can sit outside and watch TV.  WE cleaned out the rest of the rig and gave some things away that we didn't use, We went out to eat with our friends from the Heartland club.  Linda and I went to a new Mexican Rest.  Also ate lunch today at The Bakery Cafe.  I did get in some fishing and I ate some Sushi, then last night I got to eat fresh shrimp.  Linda doesn't like seafood so she had steak.  We went to Corpus yesterday and did some shopping and then took the long way back by driving on the coast highway then took the ferry back after having lunch in Port Aransas.  If you have never been in this part of the world you are missing out on some of the greatest sights.  We have enjoyed this time together so much that we have already made reservations for this coming Oct through the end of Feb. 2013.  There have been some cool mornings but then it warms up to the 70's.  Yesterday it got up to 85.

Tomorrow just happens to be Linda's and My anniversary.  This will be our 30th one.  Wow I have never made it so far and I must say it has been the greatest 30 years of my life.  Linda is by far the best thing to ever come into my life.  Then the other thing is that on Tuesday I pass another milestone and that is I will be 67, something that I have never been before also.  Life has been good to me but it is going so fast.  We have not planned anything special yet for either event but maybe in the coming year we can go on a cruise or something.  Well not much going on today we are relaxing and went to a craft sale here then we came back to watch the East West shrine game where a Chattanooga boy started at quarterback, he is good.  B.J. Coleman.   We are eating at the Beaches Cafe in Port Aransas on Monday with our friends.  Here are a few pics.  The first one is my Lunch on Thursday, and the second is my Dinner, then a serious pic with our friends at Moby Dicks in Port A.

Well so much for the past weeks, Until next Time remember Take care of each other.

Wow what a week

Nephew Chad came in on Monday afternoon, and the fun began, we got him settled in and made plans for the week,Fishing, eating, fishing, eating did I mention fishing.  We took him to the Bakery Cafe for Chicken fried Steak, Linda had a Chulupa.  The steak is the best that I have ever had.  We got up on Tuesday and ran some errands and went wade fishing between Aransas Pass and Port Aransas didn't catch anything but had a great day, we went to bed that night early in order to get up at 4:15 am to go deep sea fishing on Wednesday.  The boat leaves at 6am and you need to be there and boarding at 5am.  We left at 6am on a 12 hour trip.  We had a great time and limited out on every specie of fish that we went after.  King Mackrel, Vermilion Snapper, and Shark.  We came home with 87 lbs for fish.  Chad caught the most as I was having back spasms and I had to rest some after fighting the fish.  When we got home Linda had fixed Chicken, Corn and  Green Beans,  We were in heaven.  Thursday I got up with my back really hurting and Chad took his Kayak to Lighthouse Islands and fished by himself.  I rested my back and spent time with my wife.  She has been great during the week doing nothing while we spent it fishing.  Chad took us to Trout Street Bar and Grill for some of the best food, Linda had Chicken Breast I had shrimp fettuccine, and Chad had baked drum.  We took the ferry over and rode around the island some after eating.  Chad got up early on Friday and went to the Jetty to catch some Ghost Shrimp and when he got back he had picked up the fish we caught that was cleaned by the boat crew and frozen.  He had to get another cooler to haul it, as there was so much.  Linda does not like seafood and I sent my part home with him with the guarantee that when we come up he will grill some for me.  Linda and I ran some errands after he got off and ate a light dinner.  I have lost 2" in my waist and about 15 lbs.  Don't have a scale so I can't give an accurate weight.  I hope to have lost 40 lbs by the time we get home.  Saturday Linda and I got up and went to the pot luck breakfast at the resort.  We took Strawberries to it and had a great breakfast.  We then went shopping and I got a new 26" Vizio TV for the storage area so that we can sit outside and watch it.  I had to rewire the cable system but it only took me about an hour to get it up and running.  We then watched the football games and had Hot Dogs for dinner.  WE got up late today and after riding my bike to the office and getting the paper we sat around and read for the most part of the day.  I put out the awning and we watch the Falcons get beat, then we watched the Broncos win, My man Tebow had a great game.  Pittsburgh did  good but the Broncos were just that little bit luckier.  We had a light dinner.  I get up in the morning and have coffee with the men and solve the worlds problems.  We will leave here on the 5th of March and take 4 days to get to Lebanon Tn for a Staff Meeting with the Tennessee Good Sam's Staff, then go to our summer campsite in Spring City.  We will use that as our home base and travel from it.  I have already made reservations for here in Oct.  We will stay here for 5 months then.  Until next time God Bless and see you on the road.  Check out the pictures I have posted especially the one with the Sun going down.  All of them were taken with my I-Phone.

Back in Rockport

We arrived back home in Rockport around 2pm Tuesday in warm sunny weather.  We unpacked and started taking down the Christmas decorations. I installed the new yard art as in the picture above.   The flamingo on the right got to much sun and is darker than the other.  Linda picked out the Sago Palms shown.  Ate a light dinner and relaxed.  We stopped at Cabelas and Camping World on the way back and picked up a few supplies and some fishing gear.  Linda gave me a Orvis Saltwater reel for Christmas.  Our nephew Chad is coming in on Monday 1/2 for a few days so that we can go fishing.  Wednesday we did our shopping for groceries and spent some time just looking around the area.  We had dinner at the Bakery Cafe in Aransas Pass with our Heartland RV group and Linda and I each had Chicken Fried Steak, all I can say is OMG it was great.  Thursday we drove over and took the ferry to Port Aransas where we visited some shops.  Friday was a clean up day but Saturday I spent installing a new outside shower.  We had one but had never used it and I started noticing some water where it was located, seems that it had a hole in it.  They don' make just parts for them but you have to buy a totally new one and it was not the same size.  I had to trim out some of the fiberglass and put in a new one.  It looks good.  Dan and Karen some Heartland friends came by and we visited.  We stayed in for New Year's but had a fire in the new firepit our other nephew Todd got us.  Today Sunday we did clothes and watched football.  Until next time I hope you have a great New Year.
